Speaking. What can you see?

Imagen
I can see...  Hello everyone !!!! Next, I share with you a speaking activity.  This activity consists of talking about what the children see on the PowerPoint slide. For the younger ones, we will put the boxes to help them tell us exactly those words.  For higher levels, we will remove the pictures, and the students will have to be the ones to tell us all the things they see in a specific image.  With this activity, we work on the fluency of our students' speech and we will be able to reinforce vocabulary that we have previously seen in the classroom.  Personally, I like to do this activity in pairs. One student asks and the other answers and then they switch.  Let me know if you have any questions or suggestions...

Listening. Learn English with your favorite songs.

Listen and song ... Next, I bring you a listening activity.   Here I am going to show you a website that I use both in my classes and to improve my English.  This website is called LYRUCSGAPS . This website helps you to create activities about the songs that you like to listen to.  It is very easy to do. I show you how to do it... First of all, you search for the song you want, then you select the level and the site automatically creates an activity based on that song. You can select the type of activity you want, be it a quiz, fill-in-the-blanks, or flashcards.  For example, in this case, this activity consists of filling in the gaps in the song "All too well" by Taylor Swift. In the following link, you can listen to the song and create more activities about this song.  Thank you for reading this post ...

Writing. I want to know about you ...

I want to know about you...  This activity consists of getting to know our students a little better. This activity would take place at the beginning of the year.  With the help of the forum, the teacher will be able to see the level of each child and get to know him/her better.  These are common questions that should be related to them. They are questions and answers that we have or should work on every day for a correct acquisition of content.  In my case, I ask these questions to my students randomly as soon as I arrive in the classroom to break the ice and to get the students to start speaking English.  I hope you like it ...  Cargando…
